Spring into Quilting
As February has come to a close and National Embroidery Month wraps up, I am thinking of all the wonderful projects that I completed this month. Of course I still have some that are in progress, as well as some new finds that I will be making soon. I love to do machine embroidery all year long because there is always something new and creative to make and enjoy.
This machine embroidery In-the-Hoop zipper bag incorporated a quilted look by piecing the heart detail. The whole project, zipper and all, was done entirely In-the-Hoop! How easy can it get!
March is National Quilting Month, and I need all 31 days to make a quilt!
I was thinking back to when I made this Heart with a Twist wall quilt. It used a charm pack for the heart and the Twister Template to create the disappearing pinwheels. It was so much fun to create!
Quilting has so many forms and levels of difficulty, there is something for everyone. Whether you paper piece, use templates for special shapes, or go traditional, I would like to encourage and inspire you to choose a quilting project (big or small) to make and enjoy!
